Our Services
Wellness Exam & Vaccinations
Hillside Veterinary Hospital recommends a comprehensive physical exams at our animal clinic annually, to ensure your pet is receiving the best medical attention and is on schedule for appropriate pet vaccinations to maintain optimal health. During this exam, all aspects of your pet’s health are addressed and discussed.
Veterinary Dentistry
Dental disease is one of the most common and most preventable problems we see in dogs and cats. It can cause drooling, reluctance to eat, swelling, bad breath, redness of the gums, lethargy, loose teeth and tooth discoloration. The veterinarians at Hillside recommend regular dental exams and cleaning as a preventative measure to help ensure the longevity of your pet.
Non-Anesthesia Dental Care
Hillside Veterinary Hospital offers a 7-step professional teeth cleaning performed without the use of anesthesia which offers pet owners an alternative method for cleaning and maintaining your pet’s teeth. We typically have 3 to 4 days each month for this specific dental cleaning and we usually schedule 3 to 4 months out.
Laboratory & Radiography
Our facility houses a state-of-the-art blood chemistry analyzer as well as digital radiography. These provide our team with the diagnostic tools to evaluate internal problems with your pet. These laboratory tests and radiographs are performed in the clinic so results can be evaluated quickly. In addition, results from both can be forwarded to board-certified specialists for review if desired. We also offer ultrasound at Hillside to visualize abdominal and chest organs. We utilize VetMed Consultants who are veterinary ultrasound specialists that come to our clinic for your pet’s ultrasound needs.
Veterinary Surgery
Our skilled veterinarians adhere to the highest level of care standards for all surgical procedures, placing the utmost importance on pain management to ensure your pet is safe and comfortable throughout the treatment process. Our list of pet surgery procedures include but not limited to:

- Cystotomy – (urinary)
- GDV (“bloat” or gastric dilation-volvulus)
- Intestine & stomach (foreign body removal)

Hospitalization
While your pet is in our animal hospital, we provide daily meals, monitoring, and safety. Our trained staff will communicate directly with you about your pet’s progress. We encourage you to come see your pet during our visiting hours.
Pharmacy
We carry a full line of medications for your pet including vitamin and mineral supplements, shampoo and fur cleaners, flea and tick control, and heartworm medication. Additionally, we offer prescription medications & have an online pharmacy. Please allow 48 hours for refills.
